We travel often using credit card points and miles. Follow along for tips on cutting travel costs with points and miles plus detailed destination guides and itineraries. I want to provide encouragement and inspiration for the parents out there that hesitate to travel with their young children! The lessons kids learn from traveling (adaptability, patience, & adventure, to name a few) are worth every effort to travel as a family. And the memories made by us parents, are invaluable. Hey y’all! Seeing some new faces around here, s Hey y’all! Seeing some new faces around here, so just wanted to extend a warm Southern welcome to the newbies! 👋🏼

I’m Lauren… Arkansan, traveler, part-time CPA, autism mom, wife to an attorney, business owner, and Real Estate investor. But my PASSION is travel-hacking with points & miles! And I LOVE teaching other families how to leverage their everyday budgeted spending, so they, too, can take MULTIPLE dreamy vacations each year!💕

Since I started travel hacking (15 years ago!), we have collected MILLIONS of points and have easily saved over $200,000 in travel expenses. 🔥 And I feel like we’ve only scratched the surface. Next year, my goal is to rack up 2-3 million points in just 1 year. And NO… it’s NOT by spending 2-3 million dollars! ❌💰

👉🏻 Learning how to earn and utilize points and miles can be a game changer for families that want to go on expensive vacations like Hawaii, Europe, the Caribbean, etc….when you normally wouldn’t be able to afford to otherwise.

Ready to learn alllllll the ways?
Comment “Beginner’s guide” below and I’ll send you my updated Free guide with 4 easy steps to getting started! 🙌🏼💫

Y’all…Back-to-school night has hit me hard. 😭🥹 I officially have a 1st grader and a kindergartner. 🤯. Take advantage now, because before you know it, they’re all grown up! The time slips away soooooo fast! #weekendgetaway #lakevibes #takethekids #theygrowupsofast #travelwithkids #budgettravel
When it comes to family travel, I’ve always pref When it comes to family travel, I’ve always preferred a good Vrbo/Airbnb over a hotel room. I know, I know, I can hear all those Hilton & Hyatt lovers out there now… “the cash-eraser tool is not the best use in terms of getting the MOST value for your credit card points!”
I get it. 🤪

But I also reeeallly value a kitchen and washer & dryer on vacation… and I think it just comes down to your preferences. 🤷🏻‍♀️💕

So, if you’re like me and love a good Vrbo, comment below “free Airbnb” and I’ll send you the link to the card I used to get this awesome VrBO in Costa Rica for Free!

Right now, this card has a 75,000 welcome bonus offer!
And any travel charge made within your recent 90 days, including flights, Airbnb, Vrbo, hotels, rental cars, etc. can be “erased” at 1 cent per point with this card. So for example, you would need 10,000 points to erase $100 from your statement.

Tell me, are you team HOTEL points 🏨 or team Vrbo Eraser 💳 ?

I’d be lying if I told you I always have my next I’d be lying if I told you I always have my next destination in mind to help me pick my next card. There’s a phrase all of us in the points world like to say….“Always BE Earning!” Meaning, ALWAYS be working towards your next sign-up bonus.
Once I’ve hit my current sign-up bonus, I’m usually ready to apply for my next card. So, what do I always look for in a card? Here are 4 things:

1. Does the card help me cover the cost of flights or hotels at a destination I am eventually planning to visit? Flexible cards with multiple partners are often best, UNLESS you know you need a specific airline/hotel and the co-branded card has a higher point offer.

2. Does it offer an elevated or increased sign-up bonus?

3. Does it have benefits such as access to airport lounges for the whole family, refunds for global entry or TSA pre-check fees, trip insurance, or car rental insurance?

4. Does it have bonus categories you can take advantage of, like 5X on Amazon or gas purchases or 4X on dining?

Sometimes the card might accomplish all of these things. What’s awesome is once you build up your points in a few different credit card programs, you have more flexibility to choose your destination. Which is why I will “always be earning!” 😉

Want to know which card I just applied for that hit 3 of these benefits PLUS has a 100K point sign up bonus? Comment 100K below and I’ll DM you the link! It’s a limited time offer, so I jumped on it quick. You might want to too!
Happy earning! 💕

Costa Rica, Hawaii, Italy, UK, Jamaica, Belize…. Costa Rica, Hawaii, Italy, UK, Jamaica, Belize….the list goes on, and on, and on. 😉 Allllll paid for with credit card points that we accumulated through our everyday budgeted spending. And ALL while watching our credit scores go UP! 🙌🏼

Throughout my 15 years of traveling with my family on a VERY strict budget, points have, BY FAR, been the best travel hack that’s saved us thousands on vacations. It didn’t happen overnight. I spent a lot of time learning the ins and outs of points & miles. But if I can do it, you can too! 💯

Are you a responsible credit card user? Can you pay off your balance in FULL every month? Do you love to travel? If you answered yes, then travel hacking with points is FOR YOU!

Nothing beats “doing nothing!” Especially at t Nothing beats “doing nothing!” Especially at the Lake! I admit, I can SOMETIMES be that mom who schedules a jam-packed itinerary with non-stop activities on vaca. However, OTHER TIMES, it’s nice to live up to my nickname 😉🥰. And there’s no better place to do that than at the Lake! I’ve always felt lucky to call Arkansas my home. It really is the BEST backyard! So many trees, scenic rivers, lakes, mountains, forests and wildlife! As much as we love to go on vacation, we JUST AS MUCH love being home!
Have you visited Arkansas? If so, what was your favorite town?

Dreaming of a European vaca without breaking the b Dreaming of a European vaca without breaking the bank? From Arkansas, I’ve flown our family of 4 to Europe multiple times for a FRACTION of what most people pay!
Here’s how you can too:

1. Pick a great travel rewards credit card 💳 with a HUGE welcome bonus offer. Meet the minimum spend and collect those points. Comment below “let’s go to Europe” and I’ll send you my top recommended card that is perfect for Europe!
2. Refer your “Traveler 2” (husband/friend/sister/mom/whomever you are traveling with) to that same card, collect the referral bonus, and combine alllll your points together.
3. Transfer those points to partners! This is BY FAR the best bang for your buck, rather than using the travel eraser or cash back. Right now, AirFrance is offering flights from ATL to Paris for as low as 21,000 miles for PEAK Summer season in 2024. Flying Blue is also a great option, especially for families because they offer 25% off award flights for kids ages 2-11. And United offers Saver economy tickets to Europe starting around 30,000 miles …sometimes, 60,000 for Business Class 🤯

✈️ So, instead of paying $6,000-7000 for a family of 4 to fly R/T to Europe, you’d use anywhere from 160K-240K points plus $815.44 in taxes…TOTAL!. How awesome is that?!?!?

New to the points thing? Comment “free guide” below and I’ll send you 4 easy steps to getting started!

***Please keep in mind that this strategy is only good for those who can pay off their CC balances in FULL every single month! And meeting the minimum spending requirements should ONLY be done by using your normal budgeted monthly expenses. What’s crazy is, IF you are responsible with this approach, your credit score will either remain the same or even go UP!

This past March I flew my family of 4 round-trip t This past March I flew my family of 4 round-trip to Hawaii for $44.80.
How? Here are the exact steps I took:
1. I opened a personal Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit card that had a 60k welcome bonus points.

2. I opened a Business Southwest Credit card and earned an additional 80k rapid rewards points.

3. By earning over 125,000 points, I now qualified for the Companion Pass, which allows you to choose one person to fly with you, FREE of charge EVERY TIME you purchase or redeem points for a flight. (does not include taxes & fees from $5.60 one-way)

4. I booked 3 Round-Trip flights to Hawaii using my rapid rewards points and $11.20 taxes per person. Then I added Jimmie as my companion for free, plus $11.20.

Easy-peasy 😊! Hawaii here you come!

💫The best time to go for a Southwest Companion Pass is November/December so you can earn it as close to January 1st 2024 as possible. This way you’ll have it for 2 FULL years. (2024-2025). My goal is to try to get two next year (one for my husband and one for me), so we can fly our 2 kids for free for 2 years unlimited!

I opened another credit card today. A “Blue Bank I opened another credit card today. A “Blue Bank” card that will earn me 100k points🙌🏼!

⚠️But FIRST, I made sure I used my Player two’s “referral link.” This earned us an additional 40,000 points, just by clicking on my husband’s referral link. In the 5 minutes it took me to open the card, i expect to earn a MINIMUM of $1400. Minimum.

💫You don’t need to have a husband/partner to be your player 2.
✅ A player 2 can be anyone you want to travel with. Your mom, your dad, your sibling, your friend. Just someone who’s ready to to do this points thing with you!

💰After you open your first credit card that earns you points/miles, the bank will start sending you “referral links” worth hundreds of dollars. All you have to do is send that link to your player 2, and bam 💥….money your pockets.

📌Comment “player 2 card” below and I will send you the link to the credit card that I just opened that comes with 100k points PLUS these 40k point referral links! P.S: It’s a limited time offer! 🔑

And if you’re just getting started with this points thing, comment “free guide” below and I’ll send you the easiest guide with 4 simple steps to getting started!
