Lazy? Lauren
Call me lazy, but all I ever REALLY want to do is go on vacation.
Not the once-a-year, roadtrip to Florida, save-for-months kind.
I’m talking about lux, memory-making, see-the-world kind of travel—without blowing up your budget or your financial goals.
I’m a CPA and former Controller who figured out that this “points thing” is just math—and once you understand the math, those dream vacations to destinations like Europe, Hawaii, wherever…become a reality!
I’ve spent years quietly refining this system for my own family.
Now, I want to show you exactly how Rewards Travel works—so you can start taking the trips you’ve been putting off …
Without the guilt (our credit scores have never been higher!)
Without the overwhelm.
And without paying full price.

Where it all started
My husband Will and I have been together since we were teenagers.
Our very first “adventure”? Sneaking off to Dallas at 16 to go to Six Flags (our parents were… not thrilled). But something about that getaway lit a spark in us that never really went away.
We went through college together, Will went to law school, I became a CPA, we built careers, bought a house, got married—and somewhere along the way, we became completely obsessed with travel.
In 2008, a friend introduced us to reward travel. And once I realized how far points could stretch a tight budget? I was hooked.
I haven’t paid full price for a vacation since!
From DINKS to Family Travel
For years, we were DINKs (dual income, no kids), maximizing every dollar and every vacation day.
We took 5 to 8 trips a year—and not a single PTO day went to waste.
Then in 2016, I got pregnant with our first child, Jimmie.
And suddenly, everyone had the same message:
“Enjoy it now… because once the baby comes, travel is over.”
I took that personally.
Instead of slowing down, I doubled down—and built a system that made family travel not just possible, but easy and cheap!
Dozens of credit cards, millions of points, and more nearly-free bucket list trips than I can count later….
We didn’t stop traveling.
We just got better at it.
For those who want luxury…
Points can be your ticket to the kind of trip you assumed was reserved for people with a lot more money than you. In 2023, Will had back surgery. He had back problems for years and then a slip-&-fall did him in. And suddenly the idea of an 8+ hour economy flight across the Atlantic felt a lot less doable. I needed to figure out business class. And FAST!
So I did. Turns out, the same strategy that gets you a free economy ticket can get you a business class seat on a long-haul flight if you know where to look.
We took our first family business class flight to Norway in 2024 on Air France and have flown business class several times since. I pay economy prices — just the taxes and fees — for fully flat beds and champagne at 35,000 ft. Will’s back is very happy. So are the rest of us.

Why I do this
I believe families shouldn’t have to choose between being financially responsible and seeing the world.
I believe your kids don’t need perfect routines—they need experiences.
They need to learn adaptability, patience, curiosity, and confidence.
And I believe the memories you make together while traveling as a family? They’re worth every effort!
The best part? You don’t need to be rich.
And you definitely don’t need to hurt your credit to do this. You just need a strategy. And that’s where I come in.
Ready to turn your grocery runs & gas tank fill-ups into nearly free vacations too?
